Sinulog Festival

Cebu

Cebu City, dubbed "Queen City of the South", is the oldest city and first capital of the Philippines. It was once a small fishing village and is now a bustling center of trade.

Boasting a wide selection of beaches with paradise blue waters and coral white sands, as well as a rich and complex history, it attracts millions of tourists every year.

SINULOG

The Sinulog Festival, held annually in Cebu, is considered the first and largest of all festivals in the Philippines. The name "Sinulog" was coined from the Cebuano term "sulog", which means "water current", as the Sinulog dance mimics the "two-step forward, one-step backward" movement of the water current.

The festival uses a vibrant color palette consisting of the following hues: magenta, yellow, yellow-green, sea blue, and red. Coupled with the bold sounds of the drums, these colors inspire a vigorous energy that livens up the atmosphere of the entire city.
