Iloilo

Iloilo, located on Panay Island in the Western Visayas Region, is a highly-urbanized city with a growing economy. It recently made improvements in its infrastructure, which made it a booming center for commerce with many jobs created.

Apart from its vibrant economy, Iloilo City is also known for its old architecture dating back to the Spanish Colonial Period. Most of its churches built during this period are well-preserved and still stand today.

PARAW REGATTA

The Paraw Regatta Festival is a sailboat racing festival in Iloilo held annually in February. It is celebrated as a way to preserve the historical significance of the paraw sailboats, as well as to showcase the skills of the paraw sailors.

The paraw sailboat showcases a vibrant mix of sunset orange, neon green, and sky blue; these colors perfectly complement the crystalline blue waters of the Iloilo Strait.
