Zamboanga

Zamboanga City, located on the southwestern tip of Mindanao, is the third largest city in the Philippines in terms of land area.

It is an urbanized business center but is also frequented by tourists for its beautiful beaches, most notably the Pink Sand Beach located in a small island called Great Santa Cruz. Apart from this, Zamboanga City also boasts the vibrant colors of its Vinta boats, as well as the distinct hue of its local delicacy, the curacha.

PINK BEACH SANTA CRUZ ISLAND

The Great Santa Cruz Island, nicknamed the "Pink Sand Beach" because of the unique color of its sand, is a small island in Zamboanga City inhabited by a community of Badjaos - an indigenious tribe whose culture is closely tied to the seas.

Pictured above, this breathtaking view is characterized by its dainty pink sands, pristine blue waters, and clear blue skies - and looks as though it came straight out of a scenery painting.
